BALLET
For children's ballet shoes: - Once the correct size has been purchased and the elastic drawstring is pulled to fit the foot, consider tying a knot in the elastic drawstring, snipping it off approx 5cm from the knot and tucking it in behind the binding. This should prevent small children accidentally pulling out the drawstring from the shoe and mothers a laborious job of trying to reinsert it!
JAZZ
Jazz shoes should not be worn outside or on synthetic carpet, this will wear the rubber soles and severly reduce the life of your shoes.
TAP
Check screws periodically to make sure they have not worked loose with use.
BALLROOM
Never wear ballroom shoes outdoors. If the suede soles get wet, this can cause the sole to peel away from the shoe. It will also reduce the life of your shoe considerably.
ACCESSORIES
When using Touch Up Paint, always paint the whole shoe to avoid a patchy looking shoe.
BODYWEAR
Leotards and Activewear should fit close to the body.
Turn clothes inside out to dry on line to avoid fading, or preferably dry inside out of the sunlight.
TUTUS
Hang tutus upside down to avoid floppy tulle, or store flat in one of our tutu bags, which are designed to allow the tutu to breathe - this can be stored under the bed if space is an issue.
