Love to Dance was founded in May 2004. Being dancers ourselves we recognise that to perform at your best you need the best products available.
At Love to Dance we strive to provide you the customer with the best quality products we can find, at the best possible prices. As a result of this we have managed to develop a large client base, with customers all over New Zealand, plus overseas clients from as far away as Austria.
Andie knows all about the costs involved in dancing (although it is cheaper than the ponies we used to have) and the shoes last a lot longer :) As a single parent she also appreciates the need to keep dancing as affordable as possible - especially since all three of us dance (a lot).

Our new location is 17C Station Road, Pukekohe (just up the road from the Franklin A & P Showgrounds and Train Station - about 100metres walk away, and around the corner from the Mad Butcher and Bakers Delight)

About the people behind Love to Dance:
Andie danced in ballet classes as a child, and has always had a love for dance, returning to dance classes after having 2 children she attended adult Jazz classes. She is currently dancing at Gold level ballroom and Latin dancing and has also learnt Ceroc. Andie has over 17 years of dancing experience. Andie has returned to Intermediate Ballet for 2009 (after a 25 year break) and is thoroughly enjoying it, she is also attending Pilates class and can vouch for how it improves core strength and flexibility. Andie is the resident pointe shoe fitter and has been trained in Australia to fit the Sansha Pointe shoes, as the Managing Director and owner of Love to Dance, Andie sources all the new products and manages all the day to day running of the business. Andie is in the shop on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Michael has danced in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. He is currently studying dance and drama and continuing his learning in Ballroom and Latin dancing. Michael also attends Drama class and has gained the lead role in the two plays he has tried out for.
Melanie has been dancing since she was 3. She currently dances in ballet, tap, jazz, National, Contemporary and Performance group classes and has just started learing Ballroom and Latin dancing. She is a very keen dancer and like the rest of the family "Loves to Dance" She has also been asked to become a NZAMD qualified junior teacher!! Melanie helps serve customers, do shoe fittings and pick and pack orders when she is not busy dancing! She loves her SANSHA dance shoes and Capezio footundies!!
Barb is the wonderful lady that supports us all, receives the stock, picks and packs orders and Manages the shop on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - where would we be without her!
Stuart Manages the warehousing and stock room, picks and packs orders, and is always ready to lend a helping hand with customers on the phone or in the shop. He keeps us all organised and our stock levels correct. | |
